Featured on Fox News, this video highlights Nikita Patel’s groundbreaking Patch Life project, an innovative needleless drug delivery system developed through Total Experience Learning. Inspired by a desire to improve patient care, Nikita designed a patch that uses microscopic capsules to deliver medication over time, offering potential applications for chemotherapy patients and individuals with chronic health conditions. Her journey demonstrates how hands-on research, mentorship, and entrepreneurial thinking empower students to transform bold ideas into real-world innovations with the potential to improve lives.

Exploration in Action: Engineering Solutions

In one example of student-led innovation, a participant in the after-school research program is designing a multi-stage water purification system. Using natural filtration materials within a PVC structure and now integrating UV technology the project demonstrates advanced problem-solving, scientific thinking, and iterative design in action.

Real-World Mentorship and Collaboration

Students in the after-school research program recently collaborated with Drexel medical students, who provided feedback, mentorship, and insight on ongoing student research projects. These interactions connect students directly to professional pathways and real-world expertise.

TExpL extends beyond local classrooms. A week-long graduate fellowship at the University of Oxford immerses educators in creativity, innovation, and experiential learning expanding both perspective and practice.
